RICHARDSON – National Night Out Registration Kicked off this week in Richardson. The annual event was held for those people organizing events the night of Oct. 4.

This year, people will be able to sign up for block parties and attend events at six city parks including Richland Park, Yale Park, Creek Hollow Park, Mimosa Park, Durham Park and Heights Parks.

“The Registration Kick Off provides instruction and we also discuss plans for the upcoming celebration and give out specialty visits for each party,” said Sgt. Michelle Hall of the Richardson Police Department.

National Night Out is held annually on the first Tuesday in October to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It provides a great opportunity to gather police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
