The Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program (RMSIP) has extended the 2023 application deadlines for both students and businesses. The student application deadline is now March 22; businesses have until April 17 to sign up to be an employment site or to sponsor a student to work at a nonprofit.
Now in its sixth year, RMSIP enables incoming high school seniors to receive eight weeks of paid summer employment at a local business, nonprofit or government agency. Students gain invaluable real-world experience and exposure to careers in which they’ve expressed an interest, work 12-40 hours per week and earn a minimum of $12 per hour.
