The 2019 Richardson Public Safety Expo will be held Saturday, Sept. 14 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Richardson Civic Center Fountain Plaza. The annual event is free, family-friendly and a great way to get a closer look at police and fire operations as well as learning how to make homes and neighborhoods safer.

Activities/exhibits include:

  • display of first responder vehicles
  • K-9 demonstrations
  • a bike rodeo for kids
  • helicopter visit
  • SWAT display
  • Animal Services’ Mobile Adoption Trailer
  • face painting, bounce house
  • character visits from Nat the National Night Out Knight and McGruff the Crime Dog
  • food and refreshments for purchase
  • safety information
