The public is invited to attend the Richardson Police Department’s National Police Week Memorial Service Thursday, May 18 at 8:30 a.m. The service will be held at the department’s headquarters, 200 N. Greenville Ave., in the visitor parking lot.
National Police Week has taken place every year across the country since 1962, when a joint resolution of Congress established it. It honors all police officers and pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
