Oncor personnel and out-of-state utility partners continue working to restore power for customers affected by the winter storm. Service in Richardson has remained largely un-impacted with limited outages reported in isolated areas.

Since the arrival of the storm, many new outages have occurred due to trees and limbs falling under the weight of remaining ice buildup, wind conditions and hazardous roadways.

In hardest hit areas, workers are having to maneuver treacherous roads, use chainsaws and heavy equipment to remove ice-covered trees and debris on powerlines, and work in sub-freezing temperatures to rebuild infrastructure and make repairs.
