RICHARDSON – This month, many residents will receive a paperless billing enrollment slip with their July water utility bill helping to encourage customers to sign up for e-notifications rather than receiving a paper bill each month.
More than half of Richardson residents still receive an envelope containing their water bill each month, which accounts for a quarter of a million envelopes printed, mailed and delivered every year.
“Paperless billing is just a different way to receive your water bill. So, instead of receiving it in the mail, customers would receive an e-notification when their bill is generated. The e-notification is a brief summary of your bill that includes information like amount due, consumption, etc. From that email, you can click on a link to view and/or pay your bill online,” said Kisha Morrison, customer service manager.
Customers interested in signing up for paperless billing can do so by:
- Filling out the enrollment slip that will be included in their July bill. The completed form can be mailed with their payment or dropped off at City Hall.
- Customers can send us an email at customer.service@cor.gov requesting that their account be put on paperless billing.
- We also have an easy online form you can fill out at www.cor.net/gopaperless
