RICHARDSON – The Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program’s Annual Job Fair was held this week at the Eisemann Center.

A total of 69 students from around the community participated in the event, along with 47 employers representing small and large corporations, as well as nonprofit organizations.

The event not only offers students the opportunity to speak to prospective employers, but they also learn about resume building, how to present themselves during a job interview, and what questions to ask.

“This is about students learning career options and understanding what it is like to be an employee,” said Richardson Mayor Paul Voelker.

RMSIP is an eight-week summer internship that provides students jobs in their chosen industries of interest. They get real-life work experience and training.

The summer internships run June. 6 through Aug. 6.
