The opening ceremony for the Richardson Corporate Challenge was held earlier this evening at Huffhines Park with the Great Walk and the lighting of the torch.
The 10-week event has raised more than $3.25 million dollars for Special Olympics Texas since 1998. It includes athletic and non-athletic games such as basketball, billiards, disc golf and softball.
This year, more than 40 businesses are participating in the Olympic-style challenge.
The Richardson Corporate Challenge runs through Oct 15.
