Richardson residents who recently completed the Richardson CARES (Citizens Academy & Resource Education Series) were recognized at a City Council meeting Oct. 24. The class met once a week for eight weeks at a variety of City venues learning about the various functions of City government and its day-to-day operations. Class members received a backstage look at the Eisemann Center, toured the Traffic Management Center and Public Safety Campus, and saw what goes on 24/7 at the Service Center while hearing from 18 different City of Richardson departments.
