Through a generous donation from the community, the Richardson Animal Shelter now has a new LED sign that is located near the intersection of Columbia Dr. and Plano Rd., just outside the facility.

The sign will help inform residents on upcoming events, volunteer opportunities and of course highlight all the animals waiting to be adopted.

“One of the main things is the traffic on Plano Road, we are able to reach people who may have not known we are here and maybe get some people interested in adopting or checking out our events,” said Noura Jammal, supervisor of events and special projects, Richardson Animal Shelter.

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the shelter for the new sign on Saturday, July 20 at 10:30 a.m.
