Richardson residents are invited to gather for a special community event to learn the tradition of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan through an upcoming event created by the Dialogue Institute of Dallas and hosted by Richardson Interfaith Alliance member Arapaho United Methodist Church.

Last year, the gathering attracted more than 75 residents and created a unique opportunity for people to share cultural experiences and support community diversity.

“Such a diverse group of people and we are all committed to learning about each other’s traditions and to building friendships and to making our city stronger,” said Rev. Dr. Blair Thompson-White, senior pastor at Arapaho United Methodist Church.

The Ramadan Dinner and Discussion event is free and will be held Thursday, May 30 at 7:15 p.m. at the Arapaho United Methodist Church, 1400 W Arapaho Road.
