Dogs and their owners recently spent the afternoon at Terrace Pool in Richardson for the annual Dog Splash, an end-of-Summer activity that attracted a big crowd.

From small to large dogs, it allowed dogs to run around, meet other canines and of course, take a break from the heat.

Dog Splash is hosted by AnimaLuv, a non-profit organization that helps raise money for the Richardson Animal Shelter.  The group funds animal medical expenses and is focused on increasing the pet adoption rate. 

“I think they are having a great time, I think you can see the dogs are playing with each other, they are interactive, they are playing ball in an environment that a lot of them may not be used to, everyone is getting along great,” said Bill Alsup, director of Health.
