The Richardson Police Department’s Public Safety Expo, scheduled for Sept. 17 from 9 a.m.-noon, will now be held at Huffhines Park, 300 N. Plano Rd. The expo was scheduled to be held at City Hall, but the Aug. 22 fire meant it needed a new home. Attendees can park in the lot behind Fire Station 4, 1500 Apollo Rd.

The expo will feature police and fire department vehicles, a helicopter, and demonstrations by the UAS (drone) Team. Kids can meet Chase from Paw Patrol and Nat the National Night Out Knight. Additionally, canned food will be collected for Network of Community Ministries as part of the Police Department’s “Can Do” Food Drive. A drive-thru drop-off area will be set up in the south parking lot of Huffhines Park, and a walk-up drop box will be located on the north side of the park.
