The Texas Broadband Development Office (BDO) is seeking input from residents, through a brief survey, on their broadband needs and experience. Their input will help form a statewide broadband plan that will assist the Texas BDO in competing for National Telecommunications and Information Administration funds based on local and state needs. Under the bipartisan Infrastructure Law, roughly $48 billion was allocated to the NTIA to address broadband needs with emphasis being placed on unserved and underserved areas.

To help expand access to broadband services, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Affordable Connectivity Program is providing up to $30 per month in discounts toward internet service for eligible households. The program includes an up to $100 discount to purchase a laptop, desktop computer or tablet from participating providers.
