At its Monday work session, the City Council heard plans for the upcoming renovation of Sherrill Park Course #2, which was last renovated in 2001. The renovations will resolve major drainage issues, improve playability, reduce maintenance and improve aesthetics.
Course #2 construction is scheduled to begin in January 2024, with the course slated to reopen in October 2024, weather permitting. Also included are new greens and bunkers. Additionally, the restrooms on both courses will be replaced, with work on the Course #1 restrooms scheduled to begin next month and wrap up by September. While the new restrooms are being built, the existing restrooms will remain open.
