RICHARDSON – Crews from Richardson’s Parks and Recreation Department are continuing to pick up limbs and leaves in the park system after Sunday night’s storm.

Strong winds caused damage to parks including Heights on the west side of Richardson to Berkner on the southeast part of town.  If residents come across a downed tree in a park, please stay away and report it using the MyRichardson App or call 972-744-4300.

“We want to make everything safe but also make sure things are cleaned up for residents,” said Shohn Rodgers, Superintendent of Parks for the City of Richardson’s Parks and Recreation Department.

As always, if someone’s property has downed limbs or trees after a storm, people can schedule a Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC) by calling 972-744-4111 or filling out an online form at www.cor.net/babic. Curbside pickup is available on your designated recycling day (as long as the request is made by 11:59 p.m. the night before).
