The last day to file an application for a place on the 2023 Richardson City Council election ballot is fast approaching. Applications must be submitted to the City Secretary by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17.
Applications to become a candidate in the May 6 election for Richardson Mayor and Council Places 1 through 6 have been available since early January and began being accepted Jan. 18. Application packets may be picked up in person during regular business hours at the Richardson IQ® HQ, 1302 E. Collins Blvd., and an electronic packet may be requested via e-mail to City Secretary Aimee Nemer, aimee.nemer@cor.gov. New candidates are encouraged to schedule an appointment with Nemer to review the packet and election procedures.
The City of Richardson holds a City Council election every two years.
