Lane Closures to Ease on Renner Road as Large Valve Replacement Project Wraps Up
The Renner Road at Wyndham Lane Large Valve Replacement Project is scheduled to be completed by the end of next week. The project required ongoing lane closures in the eastbound lanes of Renner Road just west of Wyndham Lane while crews replaced a 24-inch water valve. The replacement is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to maintain and upgrade water system infrastructure and helps improve reliability by allowing crews to better control water flow and isolate sections of waterline during future maintenance, repairs or emergencies.

Flash Flooding: Things to Know
Since flash flood watches and warnings are often far more numerous during Texas summers than tornado alerts, individuals who never experience flooding firsthand may grow complacent and think “that’s not near me,” or “that won’t really happen here.” But when it does happen “here,” or when traveling across the state, the surprising power of a low level of rushing water can catch people off guard and is a big reason why flooding is the leading weather-related cause of death in Texas.
