Author, editor and professor of history at UT-Arlington Dr. Marvin Dulaney will present a Lunchtime Lecture entitled, “Civil Rights Movement in Dallas,” Tuesday, July 9 from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in the Basement Program Room.

Come learn about the African-American experience in Texas and see how these stories are essential in understanding the history of Texas overall. For those reading the 2019 Richardson Reads One Book selection, “Bluebird, Bluebird,” the lecture is an opportunity to “go deeper” and explore the book’s historical background.

Lunchtime Lectures are open to adults and teens; admission is free and registration is not required. Attendees are welcome to bring their lunch. For more information, call 972-744-4376.
