The Richardson Public Library will close at its current location tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 9, at 6 p.m. and is expected to be open at the Temporary City Hall/Library facility, 2360 Campbell Creek Blvd., in late October. The relocation is necessary due to upcoming renovations taking place at the current Library building, funded by the 2021 Bond Program.

Library patrons are encouraged to “stock up” and check out multiple materials in the interim; the limit is 100 items per library card holder. Active holds have been suspended and all due dates for library materials have been extended until Oct. 23. The Digital Library of e-resources, including ebooks, e-audiobooks, reference sources and more, will remain open throughout the transition. Librarians are also available to answer questions at 972-744-4350 every day (other than September 15, staff inservice day) during our normal open hours.
