Around 500 volunteers from the Richardson offices of law firm Berry, Appleman & Leiden cleaned up several sections of Spring Creek Nature Area recently as well as the Breckinridge Park playground, in conjunction with the City’s Community & Corporate Environmental Cleanup program (CCECP). It was the largest group of volunteers to ever work with the program outside of the City’s annual Trash Bash event. The volunteers, divided into six groups, filled at least 400 large bags with trash according to the event’s organizers.
The CCECP is open to any group who wants to help beautify Richardson. All supplies are provided, including gloves and trash tongs, and filled bags are picked up by the City when the project is finished.
