If you’re planning to eat healthy at any time during the next couple of days, and/or participate in any type of physical activity, make it count by signing up for the “It’s Time Texas” Community Fitness Challenge—the annual, statewide Challenge continues through Sunday, Feb. 27 and every healthy action you log earns points for yourself (and possible prizes) as well as points for your community, employer and/or school. Richardson is currently in eighth place among the 35 Texas cities competing in the Large Community category; a final burst of activity could improve that ranking!

Participants log their activities, such as eating a healthy meal, drinking water and taking a walk, on a free app. A variety of virtual fitness classes are available online for free to participants as well as notices of group fitness events taking place in each community.
