One of the oldest children’s theater in north Texas, the Junior Players, is teaming up with the University of Texas at Dallas starting today for their second annual summer collaboration.
The groups are presenting the sci-fi horror musical, Little Shop of Horrors.
“The talent in this cast is so unreal. The quality of the actors’ work is absolutely superb,” said Chris Ramirez, director of Little Shop of Horrors.
The show runs July 18-21 (Thursday-Sunday) with performances starting at 8 p.m. (2:30 p.m. on Sunday) and includes an electrifying 1960’s pop/rock score by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman.
The musical follows a floral shop assistant who comes across a strange plant, which he affectionately names “Audrey II.” Little does he know; this strange and unusual plant develops an unquenchable thirst for human blood and world domination.
