An 18-hole disc golf course opened Thanksgiving Day at Richardson’s Breckinridge Park, and based on usage (more than 800 rounds played the opening weekend), the course is a hit. Designed by Eric McCabe of Dynamic Disc Course Design, the 35-acre course is located near Parking Lot C off Brand Road and open from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week. Players can access the course layout and a digital scorecard through the free mobile application UDisc, which is available on both Apple and Android devices.
Note that caution signs have been placed along the trails near the course, and anyone walking on the trails is urged to be on the lookout for flying discs.
