Disaster response efforts are making progress after an EF3 tornado hit part of the community Oct. 20th.
Several residents experienced downed or damage trees that were caused by strong winds. We spoke with Richardson’s superintendent of parks planning about ways to save those damaged trees.
Residents can prune dead and dying branches and stubs to allow room for new growth. Pruning a tree can protect property and passerby from damage. It also helps deter pest and animal infestation while promoting a tree’s natural shape and healthy growth.
