RICHARDSON – Friends of the Richardson Public Library (FOL) are preparing for their annual Book Sale, taking place Saturday (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) and Sunday (2-5 p.m.) in the Basement Program Room at the Richardson Public Library (RPL), located at 900 Civic Center Dr.

Visitors will able to choose from novels, biographies and self-help books to sports, history and cookbooks. There are also CDs, DVDs and other media available. Thousands of items were collected during last month’s annual Trash Bash.

“This is one of the most fun events we have here at the Library and in the City, and we invite everyone in the community to participate in our event this weekend,“ Carl Youngberg, Friends of the Richardson Public Library.

Most books and other items will be available to purchase for $2 and under (except rare, signed or first editions). The funds collected will help FOL support RPL with various programs and events.

Last year, a portion of the Book Sale revenue went towards purchasing 50 new Wi-Fi hotspots that increased the number of devices available for patrons to check out during each visit.
