The City Council is holding two public hearings this month so residents can have an opportunity to speak about projects for a potential 2026 bond program election. The first will be held at the Jan. 5 City Council meeting which begins at 6 p.m.; the second will be held Jan. 12.
At its Dec. 15 meeting, the City Council was presented with a proposed $223.4M bond program, with 59.4 percent funding street projects, 16.1 percent funding public buildings and the rest dedicated to parks, sidewalks and drainage projects. The Council must decide by Feb. 9 whether to call an election. If called, Election Day will be May 2.
