City staff provided overviews of past and current projects at Monday’s City Council Work Session in the areas of parks/trails, drainage and public facilities, and discussed candidate projects for a possible 2021 Bond Program. Projects proposed include:
Parks and Recreation (about $19.5 M)
- Trail extensions (four parks)
- Breckinridge Park improvements
- Apollo Road Property development (26 acres)
- South Glenville Road Property development (7 acres)
- Playground redevelopment (10 parks)
Public Facilities ($24.7 M) (other than previously proposed improvements to the Library and City Hall)
- Expansion of Eisemann Center’s Lobby and Level 2
- Fire Station 5, Service Center yard and Animal Shelter expansions
- Renovations to Richardson Woman’s Club facilities
Drainage ($43.7 M)
- Three flood prevention, three erosion control and two bridge and culvert projects
Candidate projects in other areas will be presented to the City Council over the next two months, with further review and refinements taking place as the 2021 Bond proposition develops.
