City Staff gave an update to City Council Monday on the progress of the renovation projects for the Richardson Public Library and Richardson City Hall, outlining that both projects will be combined into one to save on mobilization and other costs. Combining the projects will also mean there will be one architect and one contractor.

Community input surveys are scheduled to go out later this month to gather feedback that will help guide the future designs of both facilities. The surveys will be available in electronic and print format and a public meeting will be scheduled later this month to allow people to ask questions about the projects prior to taking the survey. The results will be presented withing the next six months in an additional open house meeting to unveil how the information was used to develop designs.

Both the library and city hall renovation projects are part of the $190 million 2021 Bond Program approved by voters last November.
