The City of Richardson is temporarily suspending recycling services until further notice and reducing trash collection due to COVID-19 starting Thursday, April 9.
Richardson to temporarily suspend recycling and move to once-per-week trash service
Beginning Thursday, April 9, 2020 recycling services in the city will be suspended and trash collection will be temporarily reduced from twice to once-per-week due to staffing shortages in the City’s Public Services Department.
EPA Urges Trash Disposal of Wipes
In light of increased cleaning and sanitizing taking place to help minimize the spread of the coronavirus, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is encouraging all Americans to only flush toilet paper, not disinfecting wipes, paper towels and other items that should be disposed of in the trash.
