Overgrown vegetation such as low hanging tree limbs or tall shrubs can significantly impede visibility. Residents should assess their property and identify any vegetation that may obstruct the view along streets, intersections or pathway that could lead to potential collisions or hazardous situations.

The City recommends that bushes, shrubs or ornamental plants near intersections be no taller than 2.5 feet and mature tree limbs hang no lower than 8 feet from the ground. Any branch, hedge or plant that extends too far onto public spaces, could hinder the visibility of motorists, cyclists, or pedestrians.
