As per the City Council’s direction, the temporary on-street bike lanes installed along Greenville Avenue in September 2019 are in the process of becoming permanent. Temporary markings removal began this week and will continue through next week, which stretch from Campbell Road to Jackson Street. The new/upgraded markings will be installed beginning next week.

The lanes, as well as a new crosswalk near the Arapaho Center DART Station, were part of the Greenville Avenue Demonstration Project, a study co-funded by the City and AARP to determine the feasibility of making Greenville Avenue more pedestrian and bike friendly in that area. A grant from the Blue Zones/Degree Deodorant “Made to Move” program is funding the permanent markings.
