City crews began trash, recycling and Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC) service this week following the recent winter weather event. Residents are asked to bag water-damage debris (such as drywall and PVC pipes) in black trash bags no heavier than 50 pounds and place them at the normal trash collection point. Large pieces of drywall should be broken into smaller pieces before being placed in the bags.
Additionally, the City is offering 8-yard Rent-a-Bins to residents who have too much water-damage debris to fit in garbage bags. The bins may be requested for one week at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here for more information.
