The annual Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Student Art Contest has begun accepting entries from North Texas students in grades K-12. The theme of this year’s contest is “Fantastic Journeys Start on DART,” encouraging students to explore the idea of travel, adventure and the possibilities that come with using public transportation. Winning artwork will be featured on DART rail stations, buses and inside trains, as well as at the Dallas Museum of Art, Love Field Airport and on DART’s website. Prizes will be awarded to first place winners, runners-up and honorable mentions in three different grade-level categories.
