DART has opened
applications for the 2020 DART Student Art Contest. The theme for this year’s
contest is “Paint the Town _______. Ride DART.” Young artists in kindergarten
through 12th grade are invited to “fill in the blank” and visually illustrate
the theme with artwork in color or black and white.
Winners in each grade level category (K-2nd, 3rd-5th, 6th-8th and 9th-12th)
receive prizes and/or cash; an overall Best of Show winner receives a $1,000
cash prize. All winners will have their artwork displayed at the Dallas Museum
of Art, Love Field Airport, on DART’s website and at select “DARTable”
locations; several winners will have their artwork featured on DART vehicles and
at DART stations.
The deadline for submission is Feb. 28.
