The AT&T Red River Showdown football game is expected to bring 100,000 people to the Texas State Fair Oct. 8, and Dallas Area Rapid Transit has made service changes to assist attendees with getting to and from Fair Park.

Highlights pertinent to the Richardson area include:

  • Specially marked southbound Red Line trains will leave from Parker Road Station bound for the MLK, Jr. Station at Fair Park starting at 8 a.m. These trains will not stop after Cityplace/Uptown Station and will head directly to MLK, Jr. Station.
  • Regular southbound Red Line and Blue Line passengers can transfer to the special Green Line circulator, which heads to Fair Park, at Pearl/Arts District Station.
  • Special direct bus service is being offered to Fair Park from the CityLine/Bush Station starting at 8 a.m. Post-game, CityLine/Bush passengers will need to return to those stations by train.
  • Between 8 a.m. and three hours after the game ends, Orange Line Trains will only operate between DFW Airport and Bachman stations.
