RICHARDSON – Families are invited to take a stroll around the Richardson Public Library to enjoy the weather while reading great literature on Darbey’s Storywalk.
This month’s book selection is “Thunder Boy Jr.,” by Sherman Alexie and illustrated by Yuyi Morales. It tells the story of a boy named after his dad, who wants a name that’s all his own. Thunder Boy Jr. searches for a name that celebrates something cool he’s done, but just when he thinks all hope is lost, he and his dad pick the perfect name, one that is sure to light up the sky.
Darbey’s Storywalk includes an e-mail newsletter people can sign up to receive. It includes activities and discussions about the selected book for families to enjoy.
