The Dallas County Home Chemical Collection Center, 11234 Plano Rd., will return to regular hours beginning Tuesday, July 6. Regular hours are:
- Tuesdays 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Second and fourth Saturdays of each month 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
The Center accepts household hazardous waste (HHW) from 15+ cities/areas in Dallas County, including Richardson, at no charge. HHW includes paint, gasoline, oil filters and pesticides, i.e. household items that are hazardous and cannot be set out for City Solid Waste Crews to collect. The Center also accepts small electronics such as laptops and cell phones.
Be sure to bring a driver’s license and a utility bill as proof of residency in a participating city. Residents of all other cities must pay a minimum $95 fee.
