Community Events staff gave a preview of the upcoming Cottonwood Art Festival to the City Council at Monday’s work session. The free biannual festival is now in its 54th year and will hold its spring edition May 6-7 at Cottonwood Park. It will feature 200+ exhibiting artists (selected by a jury process from more than 800 applications) showcasing and selling work created in 15 different mediums.
The featured professional artist will be painter Karina Llergo. As featured artist, her work will be featured on festival T-shirts and other promotional material, as well as in a centrally located booth. The festival also includes a dedicated children’s art activity area, a large variety of food and drink purveyors and 15 live music shows on two stages.
