With one briefing out of the way and another coming up later this month, the City Council will soon be fully updated on the results of initial community input provided to guide the future design of a new City Hall and the update to Richardson’s Comprehensive Plan. The City Council heard a briefing on the Envision Richardson Comprehensive Plan Update on July 31, with a briefing on the new City Hall set for Aug. 21.

The City began gathering community input on the Envision Richardson Comprehensive Plan Update and design of the new City Hall and Municipal Campus in June—with the launch of online surveys and two open houses to gather valuable feedback to guide both projects.

For the new City Hall, there were more than 1,000 responses, with a second round of input scheduled to begin as soon as September. The community will be asked to provide feedback on the finalization of design plans for a new City Hall building and update to the Municipal Campus based on the first round of input.

Work will also continue on the Envision Richardson Comprehensive Plan Update, with additional feedback opportunities planned for this fall and in 2024.
