Air North Texas, a division of the North Central Texas Council of Governments, is encouraging everyone to commit to doing at least one thing to help improve air quality on Friday, June 6, the 2025 Clean Air Action Day. Better air quality poses fewer health risks to residents and ensures the continued economic success of the region. Practicing mindful air habits is especially important whenever there are Ozone Action Days, when inhaling ground-level ozone is particularly dangerous for people who have asthma or respiratory problems.

Some of Air North Texas’ list of 23 clean air habits to try/practice include:

  • Carpooling or vanpooling
  • Using mass transit
  • Biking or walking
  • Telecommuting
  • Take lunch to work or to summer activities
  • Reduce idling
  • Buy local or at places where less driving is required
  • Sign up for Air Pollution Alerts

Share how you’re cleaning the air by filling out the form at the below link, and by using the hashtag #CAAD2025 on social media and tagging Air North Texas (@NCTCOGtrans).
