Crews with the City of Richardson are continuing the cleanup effort in the southeast part of the community after this weekend’s severe weather caused damage to homes, businesses and places of worship.
Strong winds tore through roofs, knocked down trees and several powerlines, even flipped over vehicles. Traffic signals and street signs were also damaged.
Soon after the storm passed, city and utility repair crews went into action to begin the work to clear street and restore power.
“They have given us all the information we need, helpful information, they are not trying to rush or anything, they are keeping us updated, letting us know everything that we need to do, that we can do, its pretty nice that we got help like that,” said resident, Steven Warren.
