City employees that were relocated due to the August 2022 City Hall fire came together under one roof this past week, as various departments moved into their new quarters at Temporary City Hall, 2360 Campbell Creek Blvd. at the southwest corner of Plano Road and Greenville Avenue.
The 77,000-square-foot facility will be utilized until the new City Hall is constructed; expected completion date is 2026. Library staff and services will relocate to the south end of the Temporary City Hall site in late-October as Library renovations begin, expected to be complete in 2025.
Previously since the fire, City Hall workers have been working out of five separate city-owned facilities. Note that City services currently housed at the Municipal Courts building will remain for a few more weeks.
