Crews from Richardson’s Parks and Recreation Department have been busy sowing wildflower seeds in Richardson parks and medians in preparation for the city’s annual spring blooms, and the City is helping residents get started doing the same for their own landscapes. Free packets of wildflower seeds are now available to the first 20 visitors at select upcoming recycling blue bag giveaways; each packet can plant an area of five square meters with a mix of corn flower, red corn poppy and rocket larkspur, the same mix used on municipal grounds.
