Election packets for prospective candidates for Richardson Mayor and Council Places 1 through 6 are now available for the May 6, 2023 election. The packets are available to pick up in person during regular business hours at the Richardson IQ® HQ, 1301 E. Collins, and an electronic packet may be requested via e-mail to City Secretary Aimee Nemer, aimee.nemer@cor.gov. New candidates are encouraged to schedule an appointment with Nemer to review the packet and election procedures.
The City of Richardson holds a City Council election every two years. The first day to file an application for a place on the 2023 ballot is Wednesday, Jan. 18 and the last day is Friday, Feb. 17 by 5 p.m.
