Since today (April 30) is National Arbor Day, the City is reminding residents that a great way to celebrate is to get involved with the Parks and Recreation Department’s tree planting program, in which participants purchase a tree or trees and have them planted on City-maintained land. Whether you want to honor someone with a dedication tree, or plant multiple trees to achieve shady areas in your neighborhood park, the City can help you achieve your desired result.

Trees may be selected from the City’s approved planting list of North Texas natives, and tree locations are determined by the person/group purchasing the trees along with a City representative.
