Preparation for the City Council’s upcoming annual Budget Workshop continued this week, as staff from Finance, Engineering and Facilities Services gave overviews regarding streets, alleys and sidewalks, fleet operations, and facilities maintenance at Monday’s City Council meeting. These annual “deep dives” provide the Council with detailed information about infrastructure, maintenance tasks and current programs, along with trends, proposed projects/initiatives and budget requests.

Highlights of Monday’s presentations included a look at the City’s fleet of more than 600 pieces of equipment; updates on seven Facilities Capital Plan projects; and street, sidewalk and alley projects included in the 2021 Bond Program that are underway or under design.

The City Council’s FY 2023-24 Budget Workshop is scheduled for July 24-25.
