RICHARDSON – Winners of the Black History Month: Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion Art Contest were recently announced and acknowledged during a city council meeting.
The winners, Sarah Edwards of Richardson West Junior High School, Nawal lkram of Richardson High School, Hafsa Sayeed of MST Magnet, and Viraj Kalra of Plano Independent School District, are also featured in this month’s Richardson Today.
Students between grades third through twelve, who either live in Richardson or attend a Richardson Independent School District or a Plano ISD school in Richardson participated in the contest.
The art contest challenged students to create an image that would show how their unique beliefs and values contribute to our diverse community.
