The City Council adopted an ordinance Monday approving a rate increase for Atmos Gas, effective for bills rendered after Dec. 1, 2021. Average monthly bills for residential customers will increase by $1.28 (2.2 percent) and by around $4 for commercial customers (1.61 percent), generating $22.78 million in increased revenues for Atmos for recovery of dollars invested/spent in 2020 in serving the Mid-Tex division.
