The Richardson Animal Shelter announced this week that it is currently over capacity with dogs and is seeking adopters and fosters to help provide homes. 

There’s still time to nominate properties for the 2025 Community Revitalization Awards, the City’s annual program recognizing property owners who have made significant improvements that enhance the community. Eligible entries include homes, retail and commercial buildings, churches, and schools.  

The City of Richardson’s Communications Department has received a Silver Circle Award in the national City-County Communications & Marketing Association’s (3CMA) annual Savvy Awards competition. The honor was presented in the Communications and Marketing Tools/Best Use of Social Media Campaign category for cities with populations of 75,000–150,000.  

The Richardson East Rotary Club has launched the “Make It Happen” campaign to fund a custom shade pavilion at Cottonwood Park’s Ann Eisemann Inclusive Playground. The pavilion, to be named Annie’s Place, will add a welcoming, accessible gathering space for families and visitors.
